Sun Ray Panels Finished [Project 7]

Yahoo!  😮

Yabba-dabba-doo  😆

My bed panels are finished — waiting to be framed.  😎

I soldered the first side of the panels, took out the nail supports, & gently [while holding my breath] turned each one over to solder the other side.  Ah, heave a sigh of relief, they’re fine.

Now the fun part where I gets my hands all gucky [still the tomboy]  puttying both sides & I edge the lead with my lathe — a plastic tool to pull the leftover putty away.

Then I scrub each side with a little whiting & these babies are sparkling!

Now to decide on the frame, paint it, & ask my son to help install them — hopefully Friday or Saturday — oooh, I can hardly wait.  🙂

  1. It’s nice to see an old art still being mastered. The headboard is a very nice touch to a hand made and self designed piece of usable art.
A project like this takes a good creative eye along with an organized basket of tools and patients, nice work Vanessa, “can i put an order in for 1500 headboards for the end of may?” lol
